Goat Post: Issue 04

Issue 04 serendipitously lands as we celebrate the Fourth of July and Independence from bogus authority. Here’s the thing about Goatnet. We appreciate what’s exemplary and are focused on serving the best paths to greatness. The chef’s-kiss blend of individual achievement and its supporting cast is our fireworks show and picnic. This week, we eat up “float your Goat” nominations from super friend Ahman Green, plus the platinum comedic ascent of a travel ball dad, a rising marketer with triple-double energy and a bunch of kids who were made for their moment at Monument Park.

Ahman Green, an early advocate for the Goatnet experience and the Green Bay Packers’ all-time leading rusher, weighed in with two Goats to get onboard.

Coach Tom Osborne

  • 25 seasons as Head Coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, with a career record of 255–49–3 (.836), three National Championships and 13 conference titles.

  • Served as a U.S. Representative for Nebraska's third congressional district from 2001 to 2007.

Niles Paul

  • A multi-sport stud in high school, Niles was first-team All-Nebraska in football, a basketball beast and a track & field champion.

  • A fellow Nebraska football phenom, Niles was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 draft by Washington and played eight seasons in the NFL.

There’s a lot more in store on Ahman and his Goat stories.

TBH, You Should Float A Goat Too

It doesn’t have to be a legend, either. Goatnet is about the greats next door, the greats of their families, of their fields, and especially future Goats in their formative years. We’re here to become your most valuable platform, to make it easy to stitch together the source work for stories that will serve you and your community exceptionally well.

The Mark Paul Traveling Show

Mark Paul was just a relatively anonymous baseball Dad working a 9-to-5 — until a push from his daughter to “make a TikTok” changed everything.

What started as experimental posts about funny features of travel ball gained “WHAT THE” traction — and soared from there. Today, Mark has hundreds of thousands of followers across various platforms, a growing e-commerce business, a line of youth sports accessories and a very honestly earned combination of appearances and partnerships. But it’s not just the laughs and impersonations that keep people watching — it’s the charm and deep-fried truths.

Mark’s content hilariously captures dugout-adjacent drama, parental politics and wall-to-wall weekends that define youth baseball. But he also uses his voice to support umpires, to lift up overlooked kids and to offer grounded, joyful takes on what should be the times of our lives. Whether he’s on the road, the backfields, or in the parking lot, hotels and restaurants, he’s become a living legend on IG and in real life. We’re thrilled to amplify his winning moves. And did we mention his stand-up-comedy rookie season and sold-out shows? His is the rookie card we HAVE TO HAVE.

🎥 Watch The Mark Paul Traveling Show & soak up how Mark is elevating the game and living a dream he didn’t dare to predict. We love him. There’s two kinds of Mark Paul fans. They either haven’t caught his act or they’re already hooked.

Kayla Beckwith: Team ZIYNX Treasure

Goatnet ally Joe Carney, founder of ZIYNX—a driven, authentic breakthrough solution at the intersection of brand marketing and promising real-world careers of student-athletes—introduced us to future marketing mover and shaker Kayla Beckwith.

ZIYNX connects athletes with opportunities that align with their passions and principles. Kayla, fresh off helping the William & Mary Women’s Basketball program punch a ticket to March Madness, has magnetic poise, creativity, taking-care-of-business sense and a grip on right over wrong—on and off the court.

Kayla reflects on what shaped her: Mom’s get-up-and-go attitude (bike falls included), her stepdad’s encouraging vision for potential, and her love for building connections through sports. She gravitated toward marketing in college, taking on a busy stack of roles, and can be counted on to assure the current and next generations of sports fans and organizations benefit from small, joyful moments.

Kayla and ZIYNX saw right away how Goatnet modernizes storytelling and generates content ABOUT and FOR greats of all types. Kayla is going places. So is ZIYNX. We’re happy to provide part of the ride.

Turn 2 Us: An Unforgettable Day

Students from Turn 2 Us had an unforgettable day in pinstripe paradise last month — getting a behind-the-scenes tour of Yankee Stadium and competing in their championship game just across the street from the ballpark.

Turn 2 Us is a school-based mental health and wellness program created by New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation and public elementary schools in Washington Heights/Inwood and Crown Heights. The program offers workshops on stress management, confidence building, goal setting and social media awareness—alongside youth sports leagues and mentorship. The latest experience was part of the Sports Youth Development League, which uses team play to reinforce communication, discipline and positive habits. It was a feel-great reminder of encouragement as a super power.

Fun fact: Goatnet was founded five minutes from where George Washington crossed the Delaware. The network around him, as a reminder, was notably significant.
Living up is a decision.
Have a Happy Fourth of July, move with purpose — and GOAT Big!
