Goat Post: Issue 01
Brought to you by Goatnet

Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Goat Post. If you’re receiving this, you either signed up on our site, attended an event or you’re part of the inner circle — a friend of Goatnet. In each edition, we spotlight members and partners, share what’s happening across the community and keep you in the loop as we optimize the platform. Let’s Goat.
Nothin’ But Nettles
As the Miami Hurricanes recently advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2016, we’re tipping our caps to a two-time National Champion alumnus. Marcus Nettles played nine years of pro ball before taking his passion beyond the diamond — into mentorship, community service and public safety.
In 2017, he launched The Marcus Nettles Project, focused on leveling the playing field for underserved youth through baseball, education and civic engagement.
Marcus has activated a wide-reaching network of law enforcement, educators, former pros and partners such as Rise 2 Greatness to provide kids clearer connectedness with opportunities.
On June 7th in Chicago, Marcus held the 9th Annual Marcus Nettles Project Youth Baseball Clinic.
How The Waves Were Won
With beach season upon us, we're proud to highlight How the Waves Were Won—a powerful, efficiently produced documentary. From early development to final cut, our team played a pivotal role in telling this story—working closely with a highly regarded director and brilliant, hands-on creative team, lifeguards, stakeholders, festivals and distributors to amplify the narrative.
Filmed on Long Beach Island, NJ, the film follows the Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol as they battle rivals (and the ocean) for a record-breaking streak of championships.
This project shows what we do best: partnering with purpose-driven organizations to tell meaningful, difference-making stories.
It also underscores the case for recognizing lifeguards as first responders—critical to keeping our communities safe.

5 Tool Player Development (5TP)
Led by brothers Lance and D Montano, 5TP hosted a Scout Day last week with Prep Baseball in New Rochelle, NY. It was a great example of what access and exposure look like when passionate people are doing the work. With eye-popping performance metrics captured and scouts in attendance, the event highlighted the potential of student-athletes in the NYC baseball community.
Bazuca Bros. Boxing Family
Introducing Euri & Hendri Cedeño — aka La Bazuca Bros — two undefeated boxing brothers from the Dominican Republic. On Saturday, airing on the ESPN Family of Networks, Euri Cedeño (12-0-1, 11 KOs) increased his knockout streak to five, notching a fifth-round TKO over Abel Mina, emerging as the world’s 24th ranked boxer in his weight class.
